In this Course
This course takes an in-depth and advanced look at current theories and treatment approaches to addressing problematic hypersexuality (compulsive and addictive sexuality). Students will explore the diagnosis, etiology, disease process, treatment, recovery process, and current research findings for sexual addictions in males and females.
Course Topics Include:
Introduction and history of compulsive sexual behavior/sexual addiction
Identification and diagnosis
Classical vs Contemporary Sexual Addiction
Assessment
Treatment Models for CSBD
Using Inpatient IOP and group
Adolescents and compulsive sex
Pornography and modern media
The Trauma Egg as a therapeutic tool
Female Sexual Addiction
Partners of Sex Addicts
